I mentioned over the weekend that Ant had terminal Fri off work so that his office could move to a new building. What I didn't tell you lot, is that they were giving most of the article of furniture away to the employees!!!

Since we graduated college (in *coughing* 2006) nosotros accept been using a plastic top folding table equally our computer "desk". It has been that way through 5 moves, yeah v! Each time we say we will finally get a real desk, and each time in that location is something more important to buy. So when Ant told me that we could FINALLY go a desk, Idid a happy dancewas thrilled. Maybe I could utilise the folding table for my sewing machines at present!

I was told to look a corner desk with a small leaf on one side. Just a simple height with legs. Nothing fancy, but that would be enough of room for all the junk that normally accumulates around the reckoner, then I was happy. (Of course it was originally from Ikea similar all our other piece of furniture. Go figure.)

Then, Saturday morn, Ant went in to the role and crammed the new desk into our little Ford Focus. This is what he brings home for me. (Y'all wouldn't believe the things we have been able to fit in that tiny machine!)

He didn't get the dining tabular array. I'm but noting what it is.
Expert matter nosotros rarely utilize it though, because this doesn't look similar a dining room anymore!

I have room to sew!!!!!

My sewing machine, serger, mini ironing lath, books, handbasket of textile, the figurer/printer, and even my cocky healing mat volition fit and still take room to spare! Plus the dining room table tin finally exist cleared off, but is still shut enough in case I need more than cutting space for a project. If y'all are an avid sewer and have never had your "own space" yous know how Big this is for me!

There is room for Reli to sit next to me and draw while I check my east-mail, and plenty leg room underneath to store some of my bins. Emmet even institute 2 behemothic rolls of plotter (a super big printer) paper for me to use for pattern making. The but thing that could have been improve, was if he but built me my own room! (but that volition come in a few years. lol)

Oh, and what practise you recollect of my pegboard? Information technology's still a piece of work in progress, but I am in dear with the green mailbox that holds all my pipage and bias record packages! The newspaper hooks are too the perfect size for a gyre of freezer paper. I wish I could say I was clever enough to come with this, but I borrowed the idea from Improve Homes & Gardens.

Well, I'm off to put my new space to good utilize. I take a "series" type project in the works that I really hope I'll be ready to share by Monday. In the mean time, HAPPY 4th of JULY (weekend)! I hope anybody has a wonderful (and safety) time celebrating.

Thanks for Visiting!
